Palestine and Israel: Side-by-side

"Side by Side, Israel & the Occupied Territories", aims to encourage dialogue between young Israelis and young Palestinians who have lost family members in the conflict. Through this project, groups are provided with an arena for discourse and reconciliation.

"From my point of view, the subject of the image is the woman. I guess she's the mother of one of the soldiers. Through her, I see fear and pride. Fear because every mother is worried for her son, especially when he's in the army, and the pride is reflected in her photography. She is proud of him graduating."
