Jody Williams spoke frankly to Jane Gabriel about the impact that being a Laureate has on her life - both politically and personally. The Nobel Women's Initiative's second international conference was held in Guatemala last week, when 124 women from 35 different countries gathered to ‘Redefine Democracy for peace, justice and equality'. Joanna Kerr and Lisa Veneklasen describe the process by which the Laureates search for a common strategy, and the way in which the Nobel Women's Initiative is able to support women around the world who are working to address the root causes of violence.
